Much more to unpack!
Brody and Madalyn packing on of the bundles of blankets packed by the Glen Byers family.
Blanket heads!!
Pile of all the bundles.
Brody, Madalyn and Elijah helping sort out the blankets.
The blankets came from many sources including the Liberty Elementary School in Albany, Oregon, Jodi Kauffman's 6th grade Sunday School class at Sweet Home Mennonite Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Albany, Oregon, the Glen Byers family and many others. Thank you.
One of the 5 loads taken to Pastor Chuy's house for sorting and preparing for distribution.
Group of youth arrived today.
Today a group of about 60 youth arrived from some of the La Paz churches to have a weekend camp. We looked out the front windows of the motor home and saw this group sitting on a tree that just toppled over last month during on of the rains. Cindy thought it would be good to leave the tree instead of cutting it up. Looks like it is getting good use!
Getting ready.
Brody is singing a special music song at Melitón on December 30th as I play the guitar for him. Preparation time!
Family from Germany.
With the only RV park left in the La Paz area here at Campestre Maranatha we get to see many different types of RV's from many parts of the world come through here. Today this vehicle pulled in. As I visited with them I found out that some were from Berlin and the others from central Germany. It was an older couple, a younger couple and three children. Sort of reminded me of us traveling here!
RV from Germany.
Sunset tonight over the Bay of La Paz.
Jeff and Katie took the children this evening to the Malecón.
There are many sculptures along the Malecón. It follows the bay shore for about 3 miles.
Great evening with Pastor Chuy and his wife Juanita.
Juanita will be putting together packs of blankets and clothing for people in Melitón with great need. When the rest of our family arrives from Oregon we will have opportunity to go to the agricultural compound in Melitón and share with some as Chuy and Juanita lead us.
Brody and Elijah are enjoying sleeping in one of the three teepees here at Campestre Maranatha.
Tonight the boys had to move into the bungalow with their Mom and Dad. The group of young people that arrived today and will be here through Saturday brought more than they expected and so they need to use the teepees. It is great to see groups this size here at Campestre Maranatha.
Tomorrow the chances are really great that we will wake up to bright sunshine again! We are anticipating the rest of our family to arrive December 26th.
